Raffles and giveaways...

First; we've got a test pressing for the Green Day "Woodstock 1994" LP to raffle off. All you have to do to enter is buy a copy of the regular Woodstock LP from us and we'll pick a winner Monday the 15th! It is currently not autographed by anyone but we're hoping to get that changed before RSD.

Secondly; we've got a Mastodon test press for their "Stairway to Nick John" release! Same rules apply as the Green Day give away and a winner will be contacted Monday the 15th

THIRDLY!; The first 100 people in line in at either location will be signed up for a raffle to win a $100 gift certificate. Winners will be contacted Monday the 15th.

FOURTHLY!!!; This isn't a giveaway but our next door neighbor Tacos Oscar will be open early for brunch/lunch so bring your appetites. If you haven't been to his place we can't recommend it enough. Check out this MASSIVE spread he got in the SF chronicle!

Oh and of course the first person in line at either location gets 5 minutes in the shop alone from 7:55am to 8am!

Leftovers will be up at at 5am EST on Sunday the 14th. We are now running this out of a squarespace store instead of our janky old webstore so you can use credit cards or paypal if you like. We tested this out on Black Friday and it worked like a dream. Processing time on the orders was greatly reduced as well so we're faster than ever!

Rules of the mail order road, please and thank you.

1. Please try to condense everything you want in to one order. We can try to combine orders if you place two but we may also miss it because we're processing hundreds of orders in a very short amount of time.

2. PLEEEEEEEASE don't place an order, freak out that you might not get something, order from some place else and then cancel with us. That's such a bummer. The inventory in our store should be accurate. If it's still up in the store, we still have stock. If we experience an oversell on something we will be in touch ASAP but that didn't happen more than a handful of times last year out of hundreds of orders.

3. If you have questions about an order, Please email We won't be doing customer service stuff in this thread or even checking it that often as we'll be working like crazy to get your orders out in a timely manner.

Finally, Know we love you and are working very hard to get your orders out as quickly as possible. Also know that it's two people working on this and we aren't Amazon so while it will go quickly it won't be same day shipping. Last year I think we got everything out withing 5 or 6 days total. You will recieve an email from us when your order ships with your tracking info in it the second it ships. Squarespace and our shipping software are really great about this. Overall we've got a pretty great reputation around these parts for the most part I think so don't be scurred. We're going to take care of you and it's going to be great. Thanks everyone! You guys really make the dream work for us post RSD and it's greatly appreciated!

We pay a lot more than the big stores and have 10 years of reputation for fairness to back it up! Come see about us!

Punk legend and X co-founder John Doe has spent decades building a career that spans across various genres and even formats, with dozens of acting credits in fi lm and TV. Particle Kid is the musical identity of singer-songwriter, musician, and visual artist Micah Nelson, who - despite his young age - has an equally impressive resume. The two have played together at Willie Nelson's Luck Reunion festival and the iconic Pappy & Harriet's in Joshua Tree, CA, as well as sharing the stage for a tribute to The Doors at the Founders Award ceremony.

On this split release, the two artists cover each others' tunes with their own interpretation. As a bonus, John Doe covers a Carter Family favorite, and Particle Kid covers outsider folk hero Michael Hurley. The release is mastered at 45RPM and pressed on a 12'' gold color LP, exclusively for Black Friday.

We are very excited to tell you that on JUNE 22nd we're not only releasing the epic soundtrack to this crucial East Bay Punk documentary but we're also releasing the film itself on a Blu Ray+DVD combo pack and you can order both right now by CLICKING HERE!

The Blu Ray+DVD features the full-length theatrical cut of the film (2 hours and 37 minutes), 5 Deleted Scenes and more! Narrated by Iggy Pop, Turn It Around: The Story Of East Bay Punk features a diverse spectrum of musicians and artists who have all been impacted by or participated in the California San Francisco Bay Area punk music scene of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. During the production of the film, over 150 interviews were conducted around the United States amounting in over 500 hours of interview footage. Numerous underground punk legends appear in the film together with the top-selling artists of the punk genre. Non-punk artists in reggae, garage and experimental music are featured, and actors, film directors, authors, activists and graphic artists are also interviewed throughout the film.

On the soundtrack from we've got a very special Gold Vinyl mail order only edition of the 35 song soundtrack featuring rare, unreleased and hard to find tracks from bands like Green Day, Rancid, Operation Ivy, Neurosis, MTX, Jawbreaker, Crimpshrine, Sweet Children, Pinhead Gunpowder and many more. It's over 90 minutes of music on 2 LP's housed in a gatefold sleeve. The full track list is available HERE.

Even more limited is the double cassette edition that not only contains the same material as the 2xLP but we've added a very special repress of the "Lest We Forget" compilation as a companion piece. Lest We Forget was assembled by Aaron Cometbus from extremely rare demos, rehearsal & live tapes and originally released on his BBT Tapes label in 1991. This compilation provides a crucial document of the East Bay's pre-Gilman punk scene. Including the original bands of members who would go on to spawn; Rancid, Operation Ivy, Pinhead Gunpowder, Samiam, Neurosis amongst many others. We've teamed up with BBT Tapes to repress this essential document of early East Bay punk with new liner notes by Cometbus and freshly cleaned up audio on a professionally dubbed tape for the first time ever!

Proceeds from these soundtrack releases go to the Women's Daytime Drop In Center, a non-profit program in Berkeley, CA empowering women and children to move from the streets to a home by providing ongoing and intensive counseling, case management services, daily support groups, a comprehensive children’s program, a variety of referral services, and a transitional housing program for four single parent families.
